When we first arrived, the only issue we had was with the room which was immediately fixed. My husband and I recently went to UNICO for our honeymoon. After traveling for 10-hrs, the last thing anyone wants is to just sit in the lobby and wait, and be handed off from one employee, to another, to another.
Our only main complaint was that the check-in process was a bit frustrating. The beach was a 1 min walk from our 4th floor room, and even the furthest room from the beach couldn’t be more than a 2 min walk. We enjoyed some of the optional activities that the resort has for you to attend the silent-party being our group’s favorite. The entire resort is nice, comfortable, and quality. Short of room curtains, there is no privacy. We booked an Ocean Front room with tub on the balcony (and knew that was what we wanted) but I was surprised to see that the rooms with swim-up pools, the main sidewalk surrounding the entire interior of the resort is RIGHT in front of their pool and patio door. They offer a pillow menu, but we didn’t try it. In a matter of minutes any request I asked him for was done. We had Ricardo and he was so easy to work with. You communicate via text on WhatsApp, and they will facilitate everything for you from dinner reservations, booking taxis into town, decorating the room for a birthday, etc. Make sure you take advantage of your private host. Drinks were never watered down, food didn’t taste cheap or frozen. Everything that we were served all week was exceptional. First and foremost: The food and drinks were phenomenal.
